Best Non Leather Shoes

Whenever I wish to buy boots that aren’t leather, I know people that would say it is crappy and just bad quality. The same with clothing! (leather pants, though I don’t wear them) What exactly do they mean? How is it really different from leather?

I don’t wear leather either, but I also don’t buy that cheap fake leather. The paint just peels right off, but it doesn’t matter.
