For some reason I always am getting people try to stick a subculture I am not part of onto me.I generally mix up casual shirts with a vest, tie and/or suit jacket, but sometimes I will wear a romantic goth looking shirt. For pants I generally wear tight jeans or dress pants. I have one pair of really cool pants covered in buckles though. For shoes I wear plain sneakers but I am planning to get a pair of vegan combat boots once I have the money since those will last a long time. I generally wear plain belts, except for a rainbow bullet belt and a leopard print rhinestone studded belt. I often wear a fedora but I have some cool looking hats other than that. Right now I have a fauxhawk, but I’m growing it out though I am not sure what style. Probably will just be plain and to my shoulders with a fringe or something. Maybe I will make it wavy with braiding or something. For makeup I just wear black eyeliner with occasionally blue, pink or purple underneath it. I’m at some point going to make some dark red and/or black lipstick but I don’t have the time yet. I am a guy, by the way. When my hair was longer I put in hair extensions and hair clips and will probably do that again.
By the way, I’m not doing this as a method of finding a label. I am asking this because I’m curious what people think fits on me.

I would say some bizarre variation of the gothic subculture, but then again I reckon you are just you.

i recently replaced my old worn out pair of shoes with a pair of airwalk sneakers. they looked exactly like a pair of converse Vegan Shoes from the canvas top side of the shoe, so i decided to buy them. a few days later i decided to inspect them more carefully, and discovered a soft material on the bottom of the outsole of the shoe that i can not identify myself. it feels very soft to the touch and i fear that i might have bought a pair of shoes with a little bit of suede(leather) on the outside sole. can any of you fellow vegans out there tell me if this unknown material is indeed suede(leather) or if it is a synthetic or plant derived material. by the way, the inside tag of the shoe says ‘man made materials’, but i know that some companies consider leather a man made material for some reason. help very quickly please, im freaking out here!!!

the part of the shoe that i am talking about just in case you are not understanding what i mean is the part of the sole that actually comes into contact with the ground and can not be seen in the picture

Touch a hot match to the material quickly. if the material singes it’s probably leather. if it starts to melt it’s fake.

BTW: Shoe companies never lie about using leather since 97% of the population want’s leather shoes.

I bought some leather uppers, I guess I’m not allowed to be vegan anymore? I feel I had no choice. I had an important meeting to go to, and I needed dressy shoes! What was I suppose to do, wear my sneakers? People are really gonna give me a round now, right?

Don’t beat yourself up about it, from the looks of it there are plenty who will stand in line to do it for you!!!! What do you care what others think, you do the best you can and answer only to yourself and your higher power (if you have one)!!!! This world is not black and white, there are shades of grey in there sometimes… If you did all you possibly could to find a pair of boots/shoes that weren’t leather then walk with your head up, if you didn’t do all you could remember it and do better next time!!!!
