Non Leather Shoes for Healthy Feet
Healthy feet are happy feet. Can non leather shoes help keep your feet healthy? Is a Vegan Shoe what you need for healthy feet? Let’s look at a couple foot conditions, the causes and recommended prevention tips before we decide. Athlete’s foot, I’m sure you have heard it. I hope you have never had to deal with it. It is a fungal infection that usually occurs between the toes. Most often contracted in showers, gyms, dressing rooms, swimming pool locker rooms, and other warm damp areas. Good foot hygiene is important, daily washing with soap and water followed by thorough drying. Wear dry airy shoes and socks help keep the feet dry. When using public showers and pool areas user protective footwear, a good shower show or flip-flop. Dry airy shoes and flip-flops, sounds like Non Leather Shoes to me. Toenail Fungus. You pick this up pretty much the same way you do athlete’s foot. About ½ of us will get it by age 70. It is more difficult to treat, so prevention is the key. Prevention is similar as well with the added recommendation of not wearing nail polish on the toes.
Protective shoes such as sandals and shower shoes when you are in public pool areas and public showers and locker rooms. Wearing dry airy shoes and socks is recommended. These are all types of non leather shoes and vegan sneakers. The sandals and flip-flops are more about protection from picking up the fungus. Dry airy shoes and socks is about keeping your feet dry and letting them breathe. Letting your feet breathe and stay dry is not something leather does well. Nice casual non leather shoes are what you want. We use to call them sneakers or boat shoes back in the day. Now it’s, vegan shoe and vegan sneakers. I can tell you one thing for sure, the choices in non leather shoes today are far, far better than back in the old sneaker and boat shoe days when Keds were about the only choice. Technology is wonderful.
VEGANS / I need shoes! ?
I’m trying to find good Vegan Sneakers that are good for exercizing.
As in running/jogging, and general aerobics stuff.
Shoes that offer good support. . . ?
NOT Converse.
I’ve heard converse aren’t good in the support area. Easily get stress fractures …
And I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for via internet. I have no one to talk to on the internet, like a salesperson. They don’t exactly say "Good for this this and that."
All anything says is "good for running" and "jogging" and "walking" and "hiking". . . I just am not sure if they are ok for other stuff.
For instance, Jumping Jacks. Lunges. Etc . . . ? Stuff that’s not jogging.
Anyone know what I’d have to look for in a shoe for it to be appropriate and safe for that kind of stuff?
This is my favorite on-line store:

whats running sneakers can i fnd at foolocker are vegan?
I didn’t buy my New Balance shoes at Foot Locker, but they would be considered vegan as they are not made with any animal products other than petroleum – which if you are a strict vegetarian, you would not wear but instead wear only canvas shoes (cotton not animal based).
Just have to read the labels in the shoes to know. A pain, I agree. But it is the only way to be sure.

vegan-friendly anti-skid black sneakers?
My sister is a vegan, and is in need of a pair of sneakers with the slip-proof soles like you wear in restaurants. They have to be black, and she doesn’t wear anything that’s not animal-friendly. This means no leather, which has been on almost every sneaker she’s found. Does anyone know where she can find (specifically and ONLY), a pair of vegan-friendly black sneakers? Even if they’re not listed as vegan-friendly, as long as there are no animal products or whatever used to make them. We’ve looked through dozens of sites, so please, no sites that don’t have this specific item. Thanks!!!!
I see what you mean…restaurants do require the non-slip sole, and with it being a black sneaker, that wouldn’t be too hard, but there has not been a vegan or animal-friendly sneaker made that has specifically the non-slip sole that is required by restaurants. They all have at least leather accents. What I would recommend is having her talk to her boss. Legally, they can not force her to compromise her stance, but they also can’t have her working without those shoes…many times, their insurance policies are dependant on it. I would recommend having her purchase a pair of vegan black sneakers, and then a pair of black Crewguards, made by Shoes for Crews. They’re less than $20, and they’re basically just rubber booties that fit over her shoes. However, they are the non-slip soles. This should be a reasonable agreement with her management, as no other alternative as yet exists. Good Luck!
