Shop around at some of the cheaper stores in your area as they tend to have shoes that do not have leather. Target, Walmart, Payless, K-Mart, that sort of place.

Not that you couldn’t get some good quality shoes with great arch support that have no animal products. My New Balance shoes have no leather at all and give me great support, something that your going to need standing on your feet. I got mine on sale at just under $50.

Just start reading labels….. a real pain, but the only real solution unless you want to go to the online stores that charge way too much for what you get in ‘vegan’ shoes.

First things first. Find a manufacturer who has a last that is designed for you type of foot. It might take several trips to a number of places but this is crucial. Have someone measure your feet. One is typically longer than the other and a little larger volume wise.

Depending on your location, if you can find a quality boot fitter there are no limits. They can stretch or punch certain areas to customize the fit.

Once you find a "Brand" then pick your materials. If in a dry place you can probably avoid GOR-TEX. It is great but it doesn’t breath as good as they say. Also highly recommend Smart Wool socks. They come in various types for all kind of hiking.

A good idea if your close to one is look up Surefoot. They can make your feet feel like nothing else.

i own probably 50 pairs of shoes and only thing closest to leather which i own are my suede boots and a touch of leather on my trainers

there’s so much choice out there now i’d say leather shoes aren’t nearly as popular or necessary

I am in the uk and i need some dance/jazz shoes, in size 6 that are NOT made from leather. Doesnt matter what colour they are or make, just shoes i can dance in. Must be less than £30.

I am a vegetarian and i own nothing leather, but my mom is trying to convince me to wear some leather. Its is very difficult where i live to find non-leather shoes, but i want to stay loyal to my animal friends. Yes, though some choose not to. Vegetarianism is a diet. I don’t think any vegetarians eat leather shoes.
