Leather free work out shoes? Are there any?

Let me start off by saying I know I am in the wrong section, but I figured who better to ask :)

My sister is a big time animal lover. Not only is she a vegetarian, she refuses to wear leather and it’s extremely hard for her to find shoes. For Christmas I’d like to buy her a gym membership and some work out shoes! Anyone have any idea where I can find her some?

That’s a really nice gift idea! There are a couple Vegan Shoe makers if you’re wanting something kind of upscale. I find my man-made material shoes at Wal-Mart though! They’ve held out for a few years now!

Check out the site below, I think they’ll be pretty handy.

Are the shoes leather free??

i just got some shoes ordered from DSW and while the description said "Pleated synthetic upper" but when it got to the purchase screen said leather.
So what would it be synthetic or leather because it’s confusing me greatly.

they is "pleather"

Animal cruelty-free shoes for school?

Well, almost 3 months ago I decided to go veg, but yesterday I was thinking about back-to-school shopping, and shoes came up. I’m wondering where I can get fashionable, leather free or man made leather shoes for school. I like skate shoes, but I also like brands like Phat Farm and Ecko Red. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Check out online shops that cater to Vegans, and see what they have. You can also shop Vegetarian categories at both endless.com and zappos. If you have to get them in town, you can find what you like on the web and call around to your favorite shops and see if they have them or can order them for you. Also, some shoes by pleaser, tuk, converse, vans, macbeth, and other brands have vegan styles.
Just check the shoe for the "man made" stamp- anywhere you go, even payless.

What are some decent vegan skate shoes? (Non leather and free from animal products)?

I need some rad durable skate shoes that are vegan which means they are not leather and do not contain any animal products in them.

Vans Rowley Squares are really good, they are grippy, light, and have god board feel.If you can track them down,Rowley Slims are really good too, they are super comfortable.Rowley Classics are good too, they are vulcanized so they are super grippy, but they still have good padding and are lightweight.

All of Jamie Thomas’ shoes on fallen are vegan too, like the "Chiefs".I would make sure to check if they are synthetic though, because some colorways are made with leather,I know the black ones are vegan,I had those before and they were good, but they didn’t have much padding in the soles of the shoe, but they lasted a pretty long time.

All of Ed Templeton’s shoes on Emerica are vegan. He just came out with a shoe called the "Transist".You can order Rowley’s and Ed Templeton’s shoes at "activemailorder.com"

are targets shoes leather-free?

Someone told me that target didnt sell leather shoes. Is that true?

Target doesn’t sell only Non Leather Shoes.

Best thing to do is to check the label before you buy. That is the ONLY way that you can be totally sure if they are indeed leather free or not.

does any one know where i could buy rubber (MBT) and leather free shoes?

i suffer from contact dermatitis on my feet and allergy testing has shown i am allergic to leather and a rubber called mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT), so i need to find shoes that don’t contain either of these things.

impossible so far!!!

i’ve tried clarks, scholls and they contain mbt

any help appreciated!!

thanks

Sarah:

I am including a link to a doctor in Orlando Florida that specializes in these types of allergies. He has some great tips for helping you avoid MBT. He suggests certain shoes and even talks about using inserts to avoid contact with rubber if you have a shoe that you love and still want to wear. He also lists lots of other products that include MBT.
It is probably well worth the time to read what he has to say.
