What shoes are leather-free?
Wearing leather always bothered me even when I was only your standard Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian. Now that I am a pure vegetarian, or "Vegan", I’m REALLY concerned about my footwear. However, I’m a college student with no money, so I can’t really afford to get new ones right now. So I’m gonna list my three most commonly worn shoes, and hope somebody can tell me about them or give me a website or other resource so I know what’s manmade and what I should avoid:
Black Chuck Taylor All-stars (Canvas, I know, but I’m just being safe)
Vans "Off the Wall" skateboard shoes (The tag doesn’t enlighten me on whether or not the leather that constitutes the upper support is manmade or not)
Nike "New Balance" tennis shoes (for running. The tag on those also fails to enlighten me)
Thanks!
I’ve heard there might be a question about the glue used for Converse, but they seem to be listed as vegan on more then one shoe site.
I don’t know how well this company scoped things out, but all three of your shoes are sold as being vegan here:

Where can i get large womens shoes that aren’t ugly ?
I have HUGE freaking feet that I can’t ever find cute shoes for. I wear a women’s size 13 shoe. Whenever I go to a store to get shoes I have to call ahead to see if they have ANYTHING in my size at all. Usually It’ll be some horribly ugly thing that can barely be called a shoe at all. I’m sick of it! I’ve tried buying online, but they only ever have three options. 1. Shoes so ugly I would rather die than wear them. 2. Shoes more fit for stripper than for me. or 3. Shoes that are ridiculously expensive. I want to find somewhere to buy shoes that will not be in any of the above categories. Or, the best is when I’m told to ‘try the men’s section’ … do i look like a man ?! no. I’m in need of some cute shoes for women! I’m dying here! Please help me find some reasonably priced, CUTE shoes for my size 13 feet.
Thank you !
Annie, my feet are size 16 1/2 in men. I’m a guy but still they are like massive canoes or like skis! Men’s shoes in my size if I can find a store with MAYBE a pair of shoes big enough are limited to a pair of white stiched sneakers with velcro ties…
Ordering online s-u-c-k-s most of the time because even if you find a shoe big enough it’s somewhat expensive and even if you do get it, you try it on and you don’t like how it feels!!!! People with ”tiny” normal feet don’t realize how hard it is for you and me, because we can’t even try the shoe on like they can! (and take for granted). Even if a shoe is a 13 womens or 16 mens, it doesn’t mean it will fit us right.
I feel for you all the way, you’re not alone
ps- I go to a shoe store that is a bit out of my way but has some size 13s in womens, not just one or two. You could also try Nordstrom’s rack, they have 12s definitely and a few 13s but maybe not so many. I go there to find an occasional size 16 or 17 for my large feet. If you like, I will give you the number to that other store when I go next time. I think it’s called factory X-large or someething.
Take care and don’t get frustrated, someone else out here shares your luck with big feet…
edit: check these
Also check this site for size 13 shoes ladies. They are not cheap but there are some cute things under $60 and I wanted you to know about this site

Where to get vegan shoes that will last?
Most of my shoes are synthetic, and they fall apart pretty quickly. When i buy canvas shoes they seem to last for longer..
What shoe brands are vegan and will last for ages? Where can I get them? I live in Aus.
Do they still have vegan doc martins?
try http://www.nike2nike.com/Brand-Shoes-c-1624.html,I usually buy from it, I feel the quality is good and the price is cheap maybe FREE Shipping., The most important thing is that it is safe.
Trendy non leather shoes?
Yeah so… I became a vegetarian a few months ago (I’m going to try to go vegan!) and I really need to find some cool non-leather shoes (COWGIRL BOOTS) because its rather lame to wear my converse day after day.
So where are some sites where they sell cute shoes? I like tricked out boots (as I’ve said, cowgirl!) moccasins, fringe… etc. I’m just a hippie child looking for some tight cruelty free shoes

There are some cute shoes here, including "cowgirl" boots.

Steel toe Vegan footwear?
Is there such a thing as footwear that has a steal toe yet is Vegan? I need steel toe shoes for a new job. They can be sneakers, or boots. I’d prefer if they were sneakers. Anyone feel like helping me look?
And yes, I know this is the wrong section because this has nothing to do with food… I’m sorry about that, but I didn’t feel I’d get accurate responses elsewhere.
Please, no cracks about how stealing a toe isn’t Vegan… Gotta love typos.
Google it and you’ll be surprised to find out a few companies make steel toed vegan boots. MooShoes has some I believe.
Are Vegan (leather-free) men’s dress shoes available with Velcro?
I’m looking for some dress (business-casual) shoes, appropriate from work. My current shoes are by SAS, with Velcro — and they’re perfect except that I would like to find a pair of shoes with synthetic leather this time. I wear roughly a US size 10-1/2, probably on the wider side. Something like the Kelsey Shoe by Vegetarian Shoes, but with Velcro, would be great.
Ideally, they would look and feel similar to leather (I.E. not stand out when going on job interviews etc).
Cost is not a huge concern, as long as the general price range isn’t too far over $100.
try veganwares.com
they do mailorder from australia.
